Lots of John Woos projects have most of the same actors that he uses in his other projects and thats for a good reason, the first is pretty obivious if youve watched atleast one of his movies theyre just great actors and they never fail to bring a performance of a lifetime, but the other reason is a lot more personal towards him and the reason is because he does see them as family the actors work just as hard as him on the film and he loves them for that, and if hes taking on a new actor he always makes sure to get to know them and get close with them so he can understand there abilities and working styles, he really does care about them and makes sure they are in the utmost safe environment, as working in the action movie department especially with how John Woo does his films (no cgi) can be very dangerous becasue they are working with firearms, explosives and squibs lots and lots of squibs.
